MAGSINGAL has always been a proponent of academic advancement of its people as evidenced by the established learning institutions both public and private. The municipality of Magsingal values education much like any other municipalities of the Province. It has twenty-four schools disaggregated to nineteen (19) elementary schools and five (5) secondary schools. It has no tertiary school. The municipality has a total land area of 171,273.50 square meters or 17.127 hectares.

All the elementary schools are public or government-owned. Twelve (12) offer elementary education and seven (7) offer primary education only. These are found in Barangay Sta. Monica, San Julian, Barbarit, Maas-asin, Manzante, Miramar, Napo, Panay Norte, Patong, Puro, Dacutan, Maratudo, Namalpalan, Pagsanaan Norte, Pagsanaan Sur, and Sarsaracat, Caraisan, Arinaya, Alangan.

For the secondary level, there are three (3) public and two (2) private schools. These three (3) public secondary schools are the Magsingal National High School, Puro National High School, and Manzante National High School. The two (2) private schools are the St. William’s Institute and the Magsingal Institute. These are found Poblacion Barangays, Puro, and Manzante.

The private schools have more facilities than the public schools. Only two (2) schools, St. William’s Institute and Puro National High School have science laboratory.

It is noted that there were only seven (7) schools that have library. All the twenty-four schools have playgrounds, comfort rooms and sports facilities. Only one (1) from the elementary and two (2) from the secondary have clinic. South Central School and St. William’s Institute have computer rooms. St. William’s Institute has also a chapel, canteen, and audio-visual room. Some schools have canteen and chapel.
